(She/Her)
As a relational, solutions-oriented CBT therapist, I view therapy as a partnership with clients in their journey toward self-understanding, self-growth, and self-acceptance. It is a process that taps into exploring who we are down to our core and identifying barriers that get in the way of being our true authentic self. By offering warmth, compassion, and consistent support I allow my clients the opportunity to work at their own speed.
I am a licensed clinician in the state of PA. Over the past 15+ years I have worked with diverse client populations delivering individual and group therapy to clients in residential, outpatient, and school settings, including telehealth. While my theoretical approach is rooted in a combination of traditional CBT and positive CBT, I have used various treatment modalities based on a client’s individualized comfort and needs. Communities I enjoy working with are LGBTQAI+, young adults, and adults. Areas of focus include: sexual-identity and exploration; anxiety; depression; navigating life transitions; self-esteem; stress management.

I am an art psychotherapist with credentials as a Registered, Board Certified Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor. I have worked extensively with children, adolescents, adults and families within behavioral health agencies, community outreach programs, educational settings, residential and outpatient programs. I am experienced in treating individuals who have substance use disorders, developmental disorders, thought disorders, complex trauma, emotional disturbances, unresolved grief, and relationship issues.
Through an integrative, humanistic approach, I utilize creative modalities through art materials to assist clients in connecting to their feelings and needs, release emotional distress, increase insight and awareness which can promote healing and resiliency. Creating meaning with art materials is a form of self-expression that can help lower defenses and allow oneself to discover their inner truth in a nonthreatening manner. Art is a deeply personalized form of self-expression and it can increase the awareness of self, identify intrapersonal worth and purpose, increase coping, and find meaning in one’s life.

I love being a therapist, and I have several beliefs about therapy that embody my therapeutic philosophy. First, I believe that the therapist-client relationship is sacred, and that only meaningful therapeutic work can occur through a strong alliance built on trust and free of shame and judgment. Secondly, I believe that therapy is a portal to healing wounds that loneliness and isolation worsen. Thirdly, I believe it is important to support and guide clients in living lives that are true to their own values and reflective of their authentic selves. I also agree with Socrates when he said, “An unexamined life is not worth living,” and that therapy is a golden opportunity for clients to explore and uncover all aspects of themselves as a means to adding richness and meaning to their lives.
I work with a range of issues for individual therapy clients, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, gambling disorder, substance use/abuse, chronic illness, career issues, existential issues, relationship issues, etc. I also enjoy working with couples.

SHEBA FARVARDIN, LCSW Lansdale/In Person/Telehealth
Children ages 10+, Adolescents, Adults
I bring compassion, understanding, and energy when joining with clients to build strategies for self-regulation, independence, and healthy relationships. I have a keen understanding of the issues and pressures we all face today in an ever-changing world. During this process, I believe in thinking outside the box and allowing for clients to explore their potential. Therapy is not just a place to “vent” but a safe place to be vulnerable and challenge thought patterns that are no longer serving you. The best moment in therapy is that “ah ha” moment, when you start to piece it all together and your journey starts to become clear.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques to help you build resiliency and mindfulness, learn coping strategies and explore their identity and beliefs. I have experience working with complex trauma, coping with anxiety and depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity and self-esteem exploring, and attachment. I look forward to working with you and honored to be a part of your journey!

Beginning the therapy process can be intimidating and challenging but you are not alone. My first goal is to provide compassion and unwavering support for my clients to feel safe and accepted. As a teenager and young adult, it can be difficult to navigate the uncertainty of life and all the intense emotions it brings. Whether feeling overwhelmed by changes, struggling to connect with self-and/or others, dealing with difficult emotions, or feeling trapped in past experiences; I am here to guide my clients through the therapeutic process toward healing, growth, and a stronger sense of self. Through CBT and mindfulness strategies, clients learn to acknowledge, validate, and regulate their thoughts and emotions. Together we will work to uncover negative thought patterns and create new, healthier beliefs that promote a more positive perspective.
I enjoy working with teenagers and young adults and have experience in addressing anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress management, life transitions and relationships. I strongly value collaboration with family and I will incorporate family counseling when needed. Change is an opportunity for growth, and I would be honored to support you as you navigate this part of your story.
